S.R. Institute of Development is a non-profit organisation registered in the year 1998, with an initial focus on education and health. With time, SRID India has adopted a holistic approach to tackle problems related to poverty and unemployment at large in rural and urban areas.
It is a non-political, non-governmental organization having the sole objective of welfare and rehabilitation of marginalized people. Honesty, transparency, and non-discrimination are the main guiding principles of the organization
SRID practitioners ensure local ownership and problem framing at the grassroots level.
SRID believes in empowering individuals to assist them, take decisions, and enable change.
The long-term social, economic, and environmental sustainability is the most important aspect when assessing new projects and when evaluating existing ones.
SRID does not believe in building parallel structures, but rather in working in close cooperation with and strengthening systems and structures already set in place by government authorities and civil society.
